• Sired by the legendary stallion Shining Spark and out of Ebony Whiz, a Topsail Whiz daughter, the 1999 Quarter Horse has become one of the most famous Western performance broodmares. Bred by Bob Loomis and now owned by Roseann Sternberg, she had a brief show career but her true calling has been producing champion offspring.
• In 2016, Ebony Shines was Inducted into the National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) Hall of Fame. Two years later, the stunning palomino became the NRHA’s first ever “One Million Dollar Dam.”
• Ebony Shines’ offspring have amassed $1.2 million in earnings as of 2021, and have earned titles like NRHA Open World Champion, AQHA Select Amateur World Champion, and NRHA Open Futurity Co-Champion.
